Review: Beauty From the Earth- Lip Gloss

So the other day I received an email and it honestly made my day. It was from Beauty From the Earth telling me that I had been chosen to take part in their *Beauty Brigade* to review a product. I opened the mailbox the other day and I had a little package! On my long hike (lol only about 3 minutes) back to my apartment I had to open it. Can you guess what it was?

Yea. Lip Gloss. Ok Ok I know, get on with it...................................


So the lip gloss is in between being sticky and being slippery. It has a nice consistency. The color I received (which may or may not be in the gloss collection) has a very nice color. It is a very light and sheer pink. On me it is a darker version of my lip tone. At first I thought that it had a slight smell, but after the first application the smell went away. It was just a faint smell to begin with. There wasn't a taste, which is a good thing. You know how sometimes you buy a gloss or a lipstick and it has an icky taste? Yeah this doesn't. The tube that the gloss comes in is easily squeezable. I've had a few that have been hard to squeeze lol. With that said you do not have to squeeze hard at all to get the product out. The gloss, since it isn't overly thick, comes right out and will apply to your lip easily. Also it has a brush applicator and not the deer foot kind found on some glosses. I have noticed that sometimes the deer foot applicator can wear down a tab or fall apart showing the plastic underneath. The only problem I had is that the area where the tube connects to the applicator tip is a little loose. I notice a little bit of the gloss easing its way out into the open space. I live in Ohio and it has been very cold and windy lately (35-40 F) and I have been wearing this while I am outside and it definitely helps protect my lips from the cold and wind. For me one application, sans tons of eating/drinking, will last about an hour or a little more. So I don't have to apply a lot. So all in all I will be buying more when they get added to the BFTE line for sure! I am surprisingly happy with the gloss and since it will be a good price for the product I can't wait!

Pros:
- easily squeezable
- brush applicator
- no smell
- no taste
- long wear time
- not sticky or to thin

Cons:
- the space where the brush and tube connect cause a little seeping

A little bit of it all

So Mothers Day is in a couple of days. Yeah, went to go get my mom a present at Wal Mart and they didn't have any in! I hate that. I mean really! If you are going to play a commercial of the product frequently, then HAVE IT IN STOCK! No, I don't want to drive allllllll the way across town to another store to buy it. Oh well, I'll look tomorrow. I hate late night tv too!

On a second note. Mike bought me some Taylor Made Minerals (taylormademinerals.com) shadows and some Glamour Doll Eyeshadows (glamourdolleyes.com). And I won some Glamour Doll shadows in a contest too. I'll possibly put some pictures up of some swatches. I want to host a contest! Maybe something where they have to use art as an inspiration.
